Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores (DEANS) is a not-for-profit organization that was founded in September of 2011. DEANS was created to amalgamate the Pictou County Tourist Association and the Antigonish Eastern Shore Tourism Association. Their primary function is that of a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) with emphasis also placed on the Administration of tourism in the region.

We are a membership driven organization and membership currently includes businesses, individuals, associations and corporations both directly and indirectly involved in the tourism industry that share a common interest in developing the tourism industry along the Eastern and Northumberland Shores as a provincial, national, and global competitor for tourism dollars.
