I am an amateur photographer from Heatherton, who developed an interest in photography when I was in Elementary school. I was the kid who always seemed to have a camera with her, taking pictures of the uncles and cousins making hay behind our house, the ever present family pets who loved to pose, visiting family from away and anything or anyone else who would put up with my hobby.
I enjoy taking photos that show the beautiful area in which we live and are lucky to call home. North Eastern Nova Scotia is made up of wonderful locations and I am always looking to capture all that is available. I also have photos from other parts of our lovely province such as Cape Breton and the South Shore. Lately, I have been experimenting with monochrome photos and hope to expand on this side of my photography.
My photos can be seen every Saturday at the Antigonish Farmer’s Market where I have 5” x 7”, 8” x 10” and 11’ x 14” matted prints that are all ready to be framed. Some of my photos feature favourite quotes of mine from such people as John Lennon, Helen Keller, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Hans Christian Andersen and others. Also, this is the first year I have greeting cards which are 4” x 6” photos on a 5” x 7” card (including envelopes).
